Welcome to Greenwood Yoga Academy
Yoga is a physical and mental discipline which, when practiced regularly,
gives you greater strength, vitality and flexibility of body and mind.
Greenwood Yoga Academy founded in 1999 in Wangara by Margaret and Keith Willcocks, has developed into an excellent and caring Yoga academy and special place for people to come together to learn about and practice the ancient art and science of Yoga. We have a wonderful team of dedicated, experienced and qualified Yoga teachers who are all keen to share their knowledge, experience and inspiration with you.
We conduct over 20 classes a week with a variety of classes to suit everyone, whether you are a beginner or an ongoing student of Yoga, healthy, injured, pregnant, or simply in need of some healing. Our classes are based in mindfulness and range from traditional classical Hatha, Yin/Yang, powerful Vinyasa, restorative to the more philosophical. All classes combine gentle and powerful techniques to help relieve symptoms of stress and gain improved fitness and self-development. You will enjoy yourself as you learn and practice the fundamentals of Yoga techniques. We understand and promote that Yoga is more than practising poses and flowing sequences.
