Welcome to Greenwood Yoga Academy
Yoga is a physical and mental discipline which, when practiced regularly,
gives you greater strength, vitality and flexibility of body and mind.
Greenwood Yoga Academy was founded in 1999 in Wangara by Margaret and Keith Willcocks. It has grown and developed into an excellent Yoga teaching and training academy with a wonderfull team of dedicated, experienced and qualified Yoga teachers.
We have a variety of classes suitable for beginners to experienced and people who may require special attention such as pregnancy. During your classes we work with you to ensure you enjoy yourself as you learn and practice the fundamentals of Yoga techniques.

We teach Yoga to help empower you to learn to take care of your body, mind and soul.
We advocate that by participating in a single yoga class each week with us, you will learn how to restore your body, mind and soul! A regular practice of yoga can help you to ease the strain of everyday life, revitalise your body, steady your busy mind and even help you to sleep better!

Our style is classical Hatha Yoga strongly influenced by the ancient teachings of Gheranda Samhita, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Shiva Samhita and Patanjali’s Sutras.
